Data extracted from source systems undergoes data processing. Data gets transformed and consolidated following business rules, client requests and the format that target platforms need. Including but not limited process:
Filtering, sorting, cleansing, aggregating, removing duplicates, validating data
Performing calculations, translations and summarizations
Removing and encrypting sensitive or protected data
Looking up data from tables and referenced files
Formatting the data into targets’ schema
Applying data validation, triggering alert and potentially rejection of the data
The Load phase, the transformed data from last step loads into target platforms, it could be a data warehouse, a planning system, or a simple folder. Depending on different clients’ requirements, target platforms could vary. The loading of all data could include initial loading, and then periodic loading, and then incremental changes loading on a schedule. Data loading could be a full refresh as well, we will tailor based on client’s business nature and requirements.
